Last night I went to a networking party and met some wonderful people. Here’s the thing, networking is so fantastic when you have something to share, but beware of going to too many when you are not ready to present anything. What I am saying is…make sure that you are spending time on your craft so that when you network you have something to share with others. If you are only networking and hoping to meet the “right” people but you are not “ready”, then it’s not really worth it.

Fortunately, last night I met some very courageous ambitious people who had so much to share. I presented my book and even sold one. Thanks for buying my book Aaron. I wish you all the prosperity in the world.

When the next one happens I will be posting it to my site, it will be during the Halloween season.

Kudos to Ben for putting together a fantabulous event! As they say in the promo world, you are a rock star!

It was a rush to see August Rush in Central Park. It is was of my favorite movies and 99% was shot in New York City. I cried just as much as I did the first time. Summer Stage is a wonderful gift, thanks Bloomberg.

Tonight I am going to see a movie under the stars. After working an incredible week of promotions, I am taking a break. This week I promoted an energy drink, voting activity for kids, horn jewelry, a golf tournament and a indy-pop rock concert for whipper snappers that would be KIDS! Fun, exciting, exhausting…yes it was all of the above. The song that was running through my head all week was “…it must be the money…” and that it was! I paid my rent in one week! This is my goal as I am like totally over, like omg, having a roommate.

B and H is like the Walmart of electronics. They recently doubled their size. Of importance, the used section has many items that are buy outs and not used i.e. camera bags, used cameras, new and used tripods and more.

Boo Hoo Hoo! Today they are having the free movie at MacCarren Pool in Brooklyn and it is raining.

Yes Egg Creme Sodas still exist on the lower east side. Work was good today but what came after was better, going out on the town with people who know the town better than you do. Yes I have resources for you, but these people know how to party. Lower east side, people using old spaces and letting them have a vibe. Huka’s and pizza by the slice, people awake at 4 am. There was a man holding a Matador statue. So totally random. Rambling, I appear to be doing, but that was the nature of the night, the twitch of the cat’s tail, here and there, the hop of the startled church mouse (that would be me, love the city but don’t really get out that much…well…being on the scene and such…not so often). The House Music was hopping. The company sublime. Thanks everyone, but at 4:30am it is time to call it a night or a call to the crawl into morning. (No people I don’t drink this is just the musings of after a 10 hour work day, of my time on the town).

Okay so my mom reads my blog (what a good thing) and she says it is whirling dervish. She explains that in a far a way land people put on a big skirt and spin and spin and spin and spin…until, well I don’t know.

Living in NYC has been at times like this. Auditions, rehearsing, work, sleep, friends, family, writing, getting photos done, paying for reproductions, working, talking about everything, exploring, trying to make it happen, have some success, sometimes not enough, having some fun, then not being responsible, being responsible, then being a boring dinner party guest, seeking balance, no one ever has great success with a balanced life, seeking focus, working out, walking in the park, enjoying the city, spending money and so on…round and round and round and round and round and round…
